Darren Conlon

Position: Principal Legal Practitioner, Public Notary

Focus and Duties: Drafts policy, procedures, and contracts; focuses on risk management, confidentiality, and professional regulation.

Previous Experience: Holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws. Completed a PhD in confidentiality and risk disclosure. Has over 15 years’ experience in healthcare and legal services.

Contribution to client success at TMC: Darren’s expertise in privacy and risk assessment enhances TMC’s focus on ethical and legal frameworks, providing reliable regulatory guidance on AFSL compliance matters for TMC’s clients.

Ellie Wong

Position: Certified Accountant

Focus and Duties: Specialises in income tax, corporate accounting, financial forecasting, AFSL financials, and business controls. Renowned for stakeholder engagement and delivering reliable services.

Previous Experience: Holds a Bachelor in Commerce and a Masters of Financial Analysis, with a background in auditing, tax planning, and corporate accounting. Extensive experience across private companies and public practice, including roles as Business and Tax Controller at Monster.com and Finance Controller at Kabam Netmarble.

Contribution to client success at TMC: Ellie’s expertise in Australian Accounting Standards combined with CPA membership enables her to expertly manage TMC’s clients’ taxation and accounting requirements, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality financial services.

Shannon McCarthy

Position: Senior Legal Practitioner

Focus and Duties: Legal, strategic, investment, and operational support to align client priorities with fund compliance. Supports boards and investment committees in portfolio growth.

Previous Experience: Formerly with DLA Piper, DWF, and Hamilton Locke, Shannon brings deep expertise in corporate finance law, insurance, dispute resolution and restructuring. Recently served as Senior Commercial Leader at GE Vernova, focusing on renewable energy deals.

Thomas Sienkiewicz

Position: Legal Analyst

Focus and Duties: Thomas conducts in-depth legal research, supports policy drafting, and assists in the development and delivery of compliance training for TMC’s clients. His work spans a broad range of regulatory and governance matters, with a particular interest in Digital Assets, ESG and sustainability frameworks, and the evolving legal implications of artificial intelligence. He contributes analytical insights that support both advisory and implementation-focused compliance solutions.

Previous Experience: Thomas holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wollongong. Prior to joining TMC, he gained professional experience in Operations Management and SME Business Banking at Commonwealth Bank. This background provided him with strong commercial awareness, exposure to regulatory environments, and an understanding of operational risk and client-facing service delivery, all of which inform his work in legal and compliance advisory.

Vivian Vernum

Position: Accounting Assistant

Focus and Duties: Vivian supports TMC’s financial accounting, management reporting, tax compliance, and fund administration functions. He assists with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end processes while contributing to ongoing system improvements and operational enhancements. His work reflects a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous professional development.

Previous Experience: Vivian holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is currently pursuing a Master of Professional Accounting at Macquarie University, alongside his CPA qualification. His academic training, combined with hands-on accounting experience, provides a solid foundation in financial reporting, tax compliance, and governance principles.

Hritwik Singh

Position: Junior Accountant

Focus and Duties: Engaged in the provision of accounting and finance services, with a focus on fund accounting for digital assets and private equity, and compliance and fund administration for fund managers.

Previous Experience: Holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting and Finance from The University of Sydney. Experience as a junior accountant at a Sydney based start-up.

April Huang

Position: Paralegal

Focus and Duties: Conducts legal research, policy drafting, compliance training, and maintains TMC newsletters, with an interest in sustainability, ESG, and AI.

Previous Experience: Currently in her final semester of LLB at the University of Sydney. Experienced as a peer mentor and intern in corporate law firms in Sydney and Taipei.

Maulvi Nurhakim

Position: Legal Assistant

Focus and Duties: Maulvi supports TMC across a range of compliance and regulatory matters. His work includes researching emerging legal frameworks, analysing developments in financial services regulation, and assisting with policy and governance projects. He has a particular interest in how evolving technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital assets interact with existing legal and compliance structures.

Previous Experience: Maulvi is currently completing a combined Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Business (Accounting major) at the University of Technology Sydney. His studies provide a strong foundation in both legal reasoning and commercial understanding. He applies this academic knowledge to his research and analysis at TMC, contributing to projects that bridge law, policy, and practical compliance outcomes.
